GET TO KNOW ME

I have been working in the restaurant industry since  early teen years , and knew  quickly it would be where I would stay. Growing up in Newfoundland, there wasn't always a whole lot to do, but the one thing I could look forward to daily was a home cooked meal my by grandfather, and from a young age inspired me to be able to give others that feeling i got to receive on the daily . My Journey has brought me from fast food to fine dining and everything in between. 

EDUCATION/  EXPERIENCE

Being diagnosed with ADHD from a young age, I had issues with focus and attendance in class throughout the years, mainly due to quick loss of interest, and did not complete high school and went on to work . However; after starting as a line cook  i knew that it was going to make it as a professional, I needed to go to school. So i got my high school credits part time while working full time in the kitchen, and the next year i received my diploma from college as a first year apprentice cook. Over the years I've had the opportunity to work under several amazing chefs who handed down there knowledge, and at one point I studded food technology at the marine institute for a while, where i learned more about nutrition and the science behind food, as well as more in depth food safety and sanitation as well as business. At last , in 2025 i received my Canadian red seal of excellence after challenging the exam.
