GET TO KNOW ME

I have been working in the restaurant industry since  early teen years , and knew  quickly it would be where I would stay. Growing up in Newfoundland, there wasn't always a whole lot to do, but the one thing I could look forward to daily was a home cooked meal my by grandfather, and from a young age inspired me to be able to give others that feeling i got to receive on the daily . My Journey has brought me from fast food to fine dining and everything in between. 

EDUCATION/  EXPERIENCE


While still in high school, I discovered my passion for professional cooking in my first job as a line cook. Within weeks of starting that job I looked into what education I’d need to excel in the profession. Within one year I enrolled at Academy Canada and completed my Culinary Arts diploma as an apprentice Cook. After gaining some work experience, I attended  the Marine Institute in St. John’s Newfoundland. There I studied Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Food Safety, Sanitation, and Business.  In early 2025 I achieved my Canadian Red Seal of Excellence. Aside from my formal education I have 15+ years of experience where I got the opportunity to work with several amazing chefs who generously shared their expertise in both cooking and restaurant management.
